The 52-year-old Affleck and the 55-year-old Lopez have filed for divorce, ending their little over two-year marriage. This was first reported by TMZ, and many sources later verified it for People magazine.
Lopez reportedly filed for divorce on August 20 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Variety mentioning that the separation date was set for April 26, 2024.
In the court procedures, Lopez has opted to represent herself. The couple got married in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, then celebrated their one anniversary with a traditional ceremony in Georgia on August 20, 2022. There was no prenuptial agreement between the two, according to People magazine.

They were spotted together at the Venice Film Festival later that year, and in July 2021 they made their relationship public on social media.
The surprise Las Vegas wedding of Lopez and Affleck was the result of their April 2022 announcement of engagement.
